Strategic Communications

Rachel is a strategic thinker who believes that great communication starts with strategy — and strategy starts with understanding people.

With over 13 years of experience, she’s worked on some of Australia’s biggest brands and projects, leading national campaigns, crafting sharp messaging, and developing communications strategies that drive real impact.

Rachel's most recent work includes:

  • Facilitating community consultation and scriptwriting for Lung Foundation (with Punchy Digital Media) to support young tradies’ lung health.

  • Leading CALD engagement and scriptwriting for Diabetes WA and Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week 2025 (with Ethnolink).

  • Leading a state-wide awareness campaign for Victorian Disability Workers Commission (with Ellis Jones), increasing program recognition from 21% to 69% through strategic, emotionally driven messaging and multi-channel execution.

  • Securing the front page of the AFR for Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Australia, as part of a national PR and media strategy to grow membership.

  • Undertaking a comprehensive brand and communications audit for the Australian Public Service Commission, providing strategic recommendations to unify its brand and strengthen messaging across all channels (with Ellis Jones).

  • Supporting Metro Trains Melbourne with passenger-first communications for Metro Tunnel Project, Melbourne Airport Rail and multiple Level Crossing Removal Projects – delivering disruption strategies, digital tools, and multi-channel campaigns to keep commuters informed across the network.

Rachel’s approach is grounded in behaviour change methodology – because real impact starts with understanding how people think, feel and act. She draws on this to shape strategies that go beyond awareness, creating communications that shift mindsets, influence behaviours, and drive lasting change. With deep experience across government, infrastructure, property, health, tech and the not-for-profit space, she brings insight-led creativity and a genuine commitment to making an impact.

Outside of work, Rachel is deeply committed to her community. She mentors secondary school girls through Inspiring Girls Australia, helping them build confidence and resilience. She’s served on the board of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), supporting Victoria’s communications professionals, and regularly volunteers at CERES, helping to distribute organic produce. She’s also fostered ex-racing greyhounds, giving them a second chance at life beyond the track.
